My Time: Desk Diary – March 03, 2021

It’s been a while since I wrote my last Desk Diary. I found some time to write another one while feeling kind of weak from all the meetings and tech runs I had to take.

It’s also been a while since I collaborated hand in hand with Anime Corner, and now I’m helping them push more stories out. It’s safe to say that I’ve become much busier. On one hand, I have spent more time on the screen, but on the other hand, it helps me get distracted from feeling down.

There’s always this fear of spreading myself too thin. Here’s my routine: I work on weekdays and sometimes it gets extended. At night, I either check my Discord or talk to my friends on Facebook. Most of the time, I end up browsing too much. At weekends, I prepare for Sunday’s ANImazing Show!.

If there’s one thing I learned from each of these, I’d say that I should love my work even if it’s getting harder. In some weeks, there’s less event work, which means more time for my personal matters; at most weeks though, the blessings are dense, shaking and overflowing that I had to take some time off.

There are days that I’m so bummed out that I rest from 6pm onwards, only to wake up at around 9pm or 10pm to continue what’s left of my pending tasks. Those moments mostly happen after a long Zoom meeting.

Most of the time, I believe I have Zoom fatigue. Well, the scientists have found out that it really exists.

This pandemic has worsened conditions: I’m only going into a few places (no physical events until now), and my body clock has adjusted well to a 10am to 2am cycle.

If there’s something I’m thankful, it’s the fact that I still have a job despite all of the shenanigans, and I am still able to sleep 8 hours the most.
