World Street Food Congress 2016 Jamboree–23 April 2016

The signs says it — I’ve been to the World Street Food Congress Jamboree at the Bonifacio Global City earlier. It was so hot — thankfully, I was able to get in without a hitch.

This is Chey Sua Carrot Cake from Singapore, priced at Php200. It’s crunchy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. I felt the lack of taste, but the fluffiness of it made me forgive its flaw.

This is how the carrot cake is cooked:

Aside from the food stalls, there are also cooking demonstrations of dishes that are not served in the Jamboree, and we are lucky to have a sample of them.

Here are some of the pictures that I got during the Jamboree:

If I were to compare the value of the food that I ate to the value of the stuff I got, it’s worth it. The food, the fun activities that are certainly catered to food enthusiasts, and the atmosphere of the BGC (amid the heat, of course) makes it worth my time to visit there.

Hopefully the next time they do another jamboree I will be able to taste more than one dish.

Stay tuned as I am going to post a visit to another BGC cosplay photo shoot after this.
