Thomasian Esports team to represent Philippines at the PVP Campus Championships 2020

University of Sto. Tomas’ Teletigers Esports Club is on a happy mood as they will represent the Philippines in the 2020 PVP Esports Campus Championships.

This is after they emerged victorious in the AcadArena National Cup Mobile Legends Bang Bang Tournament held Sunday, August 24.

Teletigers bested out Polytechnic University of the Philippines’ ISKO team with a rallying 3-0 in the best-of-5 finals. Watch the full tournament in action.

As the winning team, Teletigers receive Php30,000 cash prize plus a Php10,000 campus grant from Esports AcadArena.

Their win secures them a slot to compete with other campus teams in Southeast Asia in the PVP Esports Campus Championships 2020
happening this September.

PUP ISKO ranked second, receiving Php20,000 cash prize plus a Php10,000 campus grant. Semi-finalists Malayan Colleges Laguna Warlocks and Far Eastern University Tamaraws both earned a total of Php15,000.

As a national campus esports program, Esports AcadArena aims to elevate responsible esports in campuses all over the country.

The program stands on its three pillars of “competition, education & experience” to empower and prepare students who want to pursue a career in esports.
