Throwback: Homura, on Haiku
“Hey, I miss this one!,” I said to myself when I went to my archives.
For this week’s throwback, I’m going to share a post circa April 2011, and at that time, one of the best series that I’ve watched called Puella Magi Madoka Magica was airing.
This is what I’ve thought Akemi Homura will write if she does a haiku about her relationship with protagonist Madoka Kaname.
I was a failure.
I screw up a lot of times
I almost give upThen one day I met
Someone that I could talk to
We became best friendsThen I found out that
She is a magical girl
She is powerfulI became one too
She teached me how to be one
I was happy thenAll of a sudden
She died killing a monster
She has lost her lifeI had turned back time
The same effects are still seen
I almost gave upI wake up from this
I promise to protect her
Yes, no matter whatSo here I am now
Calculated and Witty
I will protect her
As far as I remember, this is the last haiku I did in my life. I don’t see myself doing haiku in the future as well, but if I do, I’ll share it here.
