E-sports and Pop Culture Festival to be held at the Iloilo Convention Center
Dubbing itself as “the Largest Esports & Pop Culture Event in Visayas-Mindanao,” Globe and ISC Events presents CONQuest 2019 to be held on June 22–23, 2019 at the Iloilo Convention Center.
CONQuest is running on its third year, and they bring to the Ilonggos the fun of gaming and pop culture.
CONQuest brings e-sports and pop culture personalities to the heart of the Philippines — popular streamers, content creators, illustrators and cosplayers such as GLOCO Gaming, Suzzysaur, Asurai, Cong TV, RogerRaker, Hazel Quing, Liui Aquino, Aeonix, Little Things PH, Libreng Komiks, Overdrive Design’s Rd Rogacion, Twitch’s Mark Candella and more are announced as guests for this year’ event.
Speaking of gaming, they have in tow popular games such as Mobile Legends, NBA 2K19, Tekken 7, EA FIFA ’19 and Magic: The Gathering among others.
The event will host the he national finals of the Globe Esports AcadArenacollegiate league for League of Legends and Hearthstone.
Also in their lineup of activities are QuestTalks (Industry Panels), Creative Corner (bazaar of over 50 merchants and artists from select parts of the country), Open Tournaments, Influencer Fan Meets, Game Developer Booths, Tech Exhibits, and a Food Festival.
I actually haven’t heard of CONQuest until they partnered with Globe, so here’s what Outreach Director of organizer ISC Events A. Frederick Sansait has to say:
“We wanted to make a festival here in Iloilo where everyone can come together, learn, and have a fantastic experience. […] We are thrilled to partner with Globe Telecom and are super excited for all of our attendees to have an amazing time.”
…and I believe they are hyped to do this alright.
Reading further on the email they sent to me, ISC, a “a student-run events management & content production firm based in Western Visayas,” is actually “the official partner of Twitch and Globe Telecom for campus esports and pop culture in the Philippines.” Twitch, guys!
