December 24, 2016 — World Trade Center Metro Manila
The Christian Family Organizations of the Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ — of which yours truly is a proud member) organized the INC Live (Livelihood, Interaction, Values and Entertainment) at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay last December 23–24, 2016. I was able to catch up on the second day to meet my Cosplayer friends, most of them I only interact with online.
The event consists of the various interactive booths and activities related to various organizations inside the Church and the Church itself, all of which are also open to non-INC members to see.
Occupying the main halls of the WTCMM is the exhibits featuring the Church’s activities, organizations such as Christian Society for the Deaf, Society of Communicators and Networkers (SCAN International), Christian Brotherhood International, Childrens’ Worship Service (Pagsamba ng Kabataan, PNK), the family organizations Buklod (for married couples) and Binhi (for members 12 to 17), the Philippine Arena, the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine and broadcast arms NET25 (New Era Television) and INC TV (Channel 49 on Philippine free TV).
The WTCMM Tent houses “This is KADIWA,” catered to unmarried members aged 18 up. (KADIWA means Kabataang may Diwang Wagas or Youth with a Pure Spirit.)
Here are the snapshots from the event:
Now, meet some of my Cosplayer friends (I sneaked in a group photo that’s not taken from me below):
Lastly, I saw brethren in costume as well:
To cap off this post, I am still curious who drew this standee, captured below. I’m really looking forward to future participation in these activities. As one note say, “Masaya pala sa Iglesia (It’s actually fun inside the Church).”
See you tomorrow for the first day of the Ozine Fest Anime Figure Special at the Megatrade Hall and Cosplay Matsuri at the SMX; and watch Saving Sally at the Metro Manila Film Festival.
