Repost: 5 things that you need to know about ToyCon 2016

I’ve decided to report this article from the Ex-Link Events Blog in full to serve everyone’s interests. If you want to know more of what I blog about inside work, check the blog out. Thanks! In just two weeks, we’ll witness the biggest pop culture event in the country, ToyCon 2016. Let’s take a peek at what will happen inside ToyCon 2016. The Biggest ToyCon Yet For years, the ToyCon has been held at the SM Megatrade Halls, but this year, its organizer, the Asian Comics, Toys and Hobbies Collective, Inc. (ACTHCI) has decided to conquer all halls in the ground level of SMX Manila in Pasay, making it the biggest ToyCon yet. ...

Blogapalooza: Horizons — 21 May 2016

It’s been a long time (not really, it’s been two years) since I got into Blogapalooza— the first one I had is at SMX Aura in Taguig — and while the event’s got a bit smaller, it had great content compared to my previous visit in 2014. This year’s event is held at the Elements event venue inside Eton Centris along Quezon Avenue and EDSA in Quezon City. Elements has two function rooms, and a fashion show is being held next door. ...

Nyancon at Antipolo City — 15 May, 2016

I’m back in Antipolo once again, but this time, I went to NyanCon 2016 (dubbed as “The NyanContinues”) at Robinsons Place Antipolo just earlier. Here are few of the shots that I got en route and on location: LRT Line 2 Extension It’s good to know that the Light Rail transit’s Line 2 Extension is on full-swing, and they’re building it starting from the Masinag area. The sky ...

On Politics

Hi, everyone. I am currently relaxing at home, trying to make do with what I have at the moment. But earlier in the morning, I received the confirmation of our faithful that we will vote for Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. I am wary of mentioning this guy as (1) this is the internet, (2) all of us are jerks, and most of us jerks are going to shove our beliefs to others (with the latter either swallowing it like a bitter pill or expelling it in a way similar to those who shove it). ...

Two Cities — 30 April, 2016

Alright, here I was on a Saturday, going out to different places once more. Cyberzone Cosplay Craze at Light Mall Mandaluyong Light Mall, accessible through the Boni MRT Station, is the next destination for the Cyberzone Cosplay Craze — previously, they were in Masinag. Here are some photos from the event. …someone took a 360-degree photo of all the cosplayers as well. I took some behind-the-scenes pictures as well, but while I was doing that, I’m told not to move as it might distort the output. I’m waiting for the output to come this week. I hope it’s not distorted. ...

Lee Hak — 29 April 2016

“For having loved and lost, you are a richer person.” Man, I love that message veiled in the curtains of this restaurant. We are treated to this good place at Pioneer St., Mandaluyong City called Lee Hak Korean Buffet, and I took this opportunity to add more photos for today. I heard that Lee Hak was not a buffet resto from the start, but when they converted to buffet, they are welcomed by a lot of people nearby. In addition, its proximity to Shaw Boulevard, Brgy. Kapitolyo and the Greenfield District (then called EDSA Central) makes it a good catch. ...

Today’s Photos — 29 April 2016

Taking a break from the recently-finished Tourism Lifestyle & Business Expo, here’s the photos that I took in the middle of the night. The one above is at Kapitolyo in Pasig at twilight, where there’s no one around. This one is at the Glorietta Mercato Centrale night market — a half-liempo meal worth Php50, just the right one I want to eat as a treat after being on the field for half a day or so. ...

“Batuhan sa BGC” —23 April 2016

There’s this event called “Batuhan ng Camera sa BGC ng mga Cosplayers,” which is actually another cosplay photo shoot with friends, and I placed this on today’s agenda aside from the WSFC Jamboree. Here’s the photos of cosplayers that I took: …and here’s more photos that I took as well — this time, from a behind-the-scenes perspective: Thanks to all of the cosplayers whom I have bonded with — let me know if you want to see your pics so I can send those to you. Also, thanks to Jus (he’s donning the female Yuno Gasai and I believe he’s a guy) for the nightmare fuel — yours are the best shots so far.

World Street Food Congress 2016 Jamboree–23 April 2016

The signs says it — I’ve been to the World Street Food Congress Jamboree at the Bonifacio Global City earlier. It was so hot — thankfully, I was able to get in without a hitch. The first stop — where you can read on what you need to know about the Jamboree This is Chey Sua Carrot Cake from Singapore, priced at Php200. It’s crunchy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. I felt the lack of taste, but the fluffiness of it made me forgive its flaw. ...

Today’s photos — April 22, 2016

I’m up again for another quick post for this week. I’ve taken the headline photo from this hotel called Luxent at Timog Avenue in Quezon City. You are free to think negatively about this, but that is actually a sign for the restroom in the 5th level. …and this is how their lobby looks like. Cool. …and that’s another quick post. Looking forward to see you outside tomorrow as I go take a break from work. See you somewhere, friends.
