In celebration of the 20th year anniversary of the Filipinas Heritage Library, an exhibit called “The Secret Lives of Books” by artist and designer Karl Castro. This exhibit is free admission, so I took my time to get inside and take mementos, in which I got the permission of the security personnel beforehand.
Inside the exhibit, there are stories of Karl’s involvement in the works of notable writers Ricky Lee and Antoinette Jadaone, as well as his design works published in the Philippine Collegian of the University of the Philippines.
I really appreciate the art involved in this exhibit, especially how it was decorated: I’m interested in fonts (my current favorite font is Open Sans, next to Gotham), and aside from showing Castro’s works, it also teaches a thing or two about typography.
