Geek and Cosplay culture embedded in new internet café
I’ve been invited by my good friend Emerson Lacson to visit their new internet cafe just a walking distance from Maysilo Circle in Mandaluyong City (yup, the city hall area).
Dungeon Akiba just had its soft opening last Wednesday — and compared to other internet cafes that I’ve experienced before, this place gives more emphasis on the geek side of things — it has a maid café, a gallery full of geek stuff, and the Japanese motif that gives off a welcoming vibe in the community.

They have three PC set-ups: Units of PCs fit for the casual PC user, one for those who would like to have a bigger screen, and the one with three monitors, fit for high-tier gamers (and also multitaskers like me).
The reason for the inception of Dungeon Akiba is the community of geeks who are longing to have a place of their own. At the same time, this space serves can be reserved by clubs or organizations.
As for their maid cafe. their highlight dish is the Japanese kakigoori, but I’m sure they’ll have more in their lineup soon.

Dungeon Akiba Internet Cafe is open 24 hours, and is located at 112 Unit A, San Francisco St., Plainview, Mandaluyong City. Also visit them on Facebook.
